Method Bears Basketball: 2022 Season Recap

To say the least, this has been a “red letter” season for the Method Bears 2022 basketball team. This amazing group of young men will go down in the Method Hall of Fame as the first team to ever represent our school in basketball, while positively launching the Method athletics program. Their hard work, diligence and character lays a cornerstone of achievement, affecting generations to come.

Led by Coach Zavier Harris, who set the bar high, and instilled in every player, driving hustle, a winning attitude, and most importantly, respectful attitudes both on and off the court, setting in place a successful foundation for the Bears. With an impressive 8-2 record, the Bears placed 2nd in the Mountain Valley Conference, averaging 67 offensive points per game, and giving up an average of 28 points to opponents per game to finish the season.

Off the court, the Bears basketball team carried a second semester 3.34 team GPA juggling athletic training, school field trips, practices, games, and classes. Being a part of Method Athletics is far more than wins and losses. Student-athletes learn lifelong lessons that will carry them through high school, college, careers, relationships and into every season of their lives.

As a Method student athlete, students are challenged to excellence in every aspect including mental and physical toughness and maintaining the highest academics as they work through invaluable situations that can’t be attained anywhere but on the athletic field. Method Athletics will be offering Junior High cheer, flag football, boys volleyball, girls volleyball, baseball, and softball during the 2022 fall semester.
