Work Permits
Because work permits are issued per employer, we cannot issue work permits until students receive a job offer.
Because work permits are issued per employer, we cannot issue work permits until students receive a job offer. When a student receives a job offer, students and employer must fill out the "Intent to Employ a Minor" form and submit this to Jade Fernandez, jfernandez@methodschools.org
Per the student handbook, work permits are only issued to students who meet the following guidelines. Requests for work permits should go to a student's homeroom teacher. The homeroom teacher must verify that the student's GPA and attendance is in good standing.
• Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
• Are not under attendance evaluation.
Once grades and attendance is verified, homeroom teacher can send the "Intent to Employ a Minor" form to Jade who will complete a work permit and return to homeroom teacher.
Please allow for at least 10 working days to return your permit paperwork. In order for us to complete Work Permit paperwork, your student must be in good standing with the school and maintain good standing in terms of attendance and progress, or work permit is revoked.
