Being prepared for school is key to success at Method Schools. It helps students stay on track, meet deadlines, and build habits that support learning and confidence every day.
📅 When does school start?
School begins Tuesday, July 1st, 2025. You’ll have access to your courses starting at 8:00 AM on smartfox.net.
🔐 When will I receive my login credentials?
Your Smartfox login information was emailed to you when your enrollment was approved. You may log in at smartfox.net.
If you're having trouble logging in, use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page to reset your password.
💻 What is Edmentum?
Edmentum is an additional platform used for some classes.
Parents will receive an email with instructions to create an account to monitor student progress.
If the registration link expires, a new one will be sent before classes begin.
📝 When will I receive my Independent Study Master Agreement?
Master Agreements are being sent out now. They must be signed by both the student and parent to maintain course access.
If your email link expires before you sign, you can also sign it directly from your Smartfox dashboard at smartfox.net
📆 Why does my Master Agreement end in December?
At Method Schools, Master Agreements reflect semester dates.
Students can withdraw at any time, and their transcript will show an exit date and code.
Many students finish their July courses in about 6 weeks.
❌ My Master Agreement expired. What do I do?
If your agreement link expires, log into Smartfox to sign it.
All Master Agreements must be signed by the end of the day on July 1st to keep course access.
⏳ How long will it take to finish my courses?
Courses begin July 1st and follow a pacing guide.
If students stay on track, they’ll finish by August 12th, 2025 or sooner.
🔄 How do I change my courses?
Log into Smartfox, and use the "Course Change Request" button to make a request to add or drop courses. Your request will be reviewed within a few days. Remember- students cannot drop below 10 credits.
📆 How often do I need to log in?
Students are expected to log in each school day and make progress.
There are no set login times, but if you haven’t logged in by 3:00 PM, you’ll get a reminder email.
💬 Is there any live instruction requirements?
Yes! Students must attend a 30-minute Zoom check-in every Wednesday.
Teachers also offer optional daily office hours for extra support and questions.
📎 What are work samples?
As part of independent study attendance requirements, students will need to submit 1 work sample per week. They can use guided notes screenshots of graded discussions or any pdf of an assignment they've submitted.
✍️ What are learning Journals?
Each month, parents and students sign the learning journal to confirm they’ve seen all submitted work and to verify the student’s attendance.
📨 How do I get credit for my courses?
Once you have been withdrawn you may request your transcripts to be sent from parchment.com.
