Whether your student is looking to graduate early, recover a missing credit to stay on track, or get ahead in their UC a-g requirements, the traditional school calendar can often feel like a hurdle rather than a help. At Method Schools, we’ve built a specific "lane" for these students. We call them Accelerators.
An Accelerator isn't just a student who is "in a hurry." They are students on a mission. Many need a high-performance academic engine that can keep up with their pace. Others just need an efficient way to catch up on credits.
Here's why Method is the preferred school for students ready to sprint:
In most schools and districts, the new year doesn't start until August. Method Schools, on the other hand, operates on a year-round academic calendar that begins July 1st. This allows our students to build massive academic momentum while the rest of the world is on break. By the time the traditional school year starts in the fall, our Accelerators have often already knocked out a core course or stabilized their credits, giving them a massive head start on their goals.
It’s important to understand that Method doesn't "offer summer school." We operate on a single-track, year-round academic calendar. While traditional schools close their doors and stop instruction for two months, Method remains fully operational.
This is a significant advantage for the Accelerator. Because we are a year-round public school, your student isn't "visiting" a temporary summer program; they are enrolling in a full-service online school that simply starts earlier than others. This allows for a deep, continuous learning experience where momentum isn't interrupted by a summer slide. Whether a student joins us for a targeted sprint to catch up on credits or chooses to stay for their entire high school career, they are part of a unified, state-approved year-round program designed for maximum flexibility.
We understand that many Accelerators often transfer back to their home campus. You shouldn’t have to worry about the "nuts and bolts" of transcript transfers or credit verification. Whether a student stays with Method for weeks or years, we have them covered.
Because over 60 Southern California schools and districts have referred their students to Method, we specialize in eliminating transfer and credit friction for students. We handle the coordination with your student's counselor to ensure that every course taken at Method is UC a-g approved, making the transfer of credits back to your home district seamless and stress-free.
Online learning shouldn't mean learning alone. A high-speed student can’t afford to wait three days for a teacher to grade an assignment or answer a question. That's a dead spot that kills momentum. At Method, we don't do dead sports and we don't slow student momentum.
Our low student-to-teacher class ratio, in addition to Student Success Managers, means our CA-certified teachers and instructional team are highly responsive. Think of them as an "Academic Pit Crew"—they are there to catch your student’s energy, provide instant feedback, and keep the wheels turning.
We believe all students, including Accelerators, should be rewarded for their efficiency. If your student can master a concept in two hours instead of five, they should be allowed to move on to the next challenge immediately. At Method, the pace is dictated by the student’s mastery, not the ringing of a bell. This mindset has helped Method students realize academic gains at a much more rapid rate than the California state average.
If your student is ready to stop waiting and start doing, they are likely an Accelerator. Don't let their potential stall out in a classroom that moves too slow.
