Beyond the Desk: Why "DMSA" is the New Standard for East County Families

For parents in East County San Diego, the choice has traditionally been binary: a standard classroom with limited movement, or a fully remote program that lacks physical community. The partnership between Dehesa Sports Academy (TK-5) and Method Summit Academy (6-12) has officially broken that mold. Combined, the program is known as Dehesa Method Sports Academy.

This isn't just a sports program; it is a high-engagement hub for students whose natural rhythm requires activity. By separating the academic tracks by grade level, and leveraging Dehesa’s foundational expertise for younger learners and Method’s tech-forward, small-group model for secondary students, we’ve created a precision-built environment where training and teaching mesh together in a way that benefits student athletes and those who need a little more activity throughout their school days.

DMSA's Core Features:

  • Shared Training, Unique Academics: Students share high-level athletic facilities and training blocks, but their academic experience is tailored to their specific grade level and needs.
  • Small Class Sizes: We’ve eliminated the learning factory noise found in traditional education. Our small class standard ensures every student is seen.
  • The Performer Path: Whether they are elite athletes or simply active learners, students gain the ability to get active and stay active, all without falling behind in their regular coursework.
  • Sport-specific training: The program features specialized soccer, baseball, softball, and football training, in addition to enhanced P.E. courses.

Due to the program’s popularity, we're excited to announce that we're expanding our capacity. We will be opening 50 new spots for the upcoming school year to accommodate the growing athletic and/or active student community in San Diego. We expect these spots to fill quickly, so we recommend taking action quickly.

Does Your Student Need a Pivot Now? While we are preparing for next year's sprint, a limited number of mid-year spots may still be available for families needing an immediate seamless transfer. Click below to start the switch.
