Introducing Scout: A Powerful New Platform for Method Schools Families Coming in July, 2026

We’re excited to share an important update about the technology that supports learning at Method Schools. Beginning with the 2026–27 school year, we will be transitioning to Scout, a modern Student Information System (SIS) designed specifically for innovative schools like ours.

Scout will become the central platform for many of the day-to-day functions that help our school run smoothly. Students and parents will use Scout for things like accessing student information, tracking attendance and progress, communicating with staff, and staying connected with important school updates.

One of the reasons we’re excited about Scout is that it was designed with California independent study and online schools in mind. The system helps schools manage student records, attendance, grades, communication, and compliance in one streamlined platform while integrating with online learning programs and curriculum providers.

Importantly, SmartFox courseware will continue to power the Method student learning experience. Students will still complete their courses through SmartFox, while Scout will serve as the system that connects everything together—making it easier for families to stay informed and for our staff to support students.

Over the coming months, we’ll share more information and helpful resources to ensure a smooth transition. Our goal is to make the experience simpler, more intuitive, and more connected for students and families.

We’re excited about what Scout will bring to our community and look forward to launching this new platform for the 2026–27 school year.
