Method Works: The Latest Analysis Shows Our Students Are Growing

At Method, we believe that when students are supported as individuals, they thrive. Each fall, we look closely at academic growth across our schools to understand what’s working and how we can continue to improve. The latest Method Schools Insight Report — a comprehensive look at student performance across state and local assessments — shows some incredible progress, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students and teachers.

Growth You Can Measure

Every year, California students take the CAASPP test, which measures how well they’ve mastered grade-level standards in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.

The 2025 results show that Method students made impressive gains. Especially in Math.

  • Math growth soared, with a 9.3% increase in students meeting or exceeding standards and a massive +33-point gain in Distance from Standard (DFS) over the prior year.

  • ELA results remained strong, with steady improvement over time and especially strong performance in the early and upper grades.

Behind those numbers are hundreds of students who have built confidence and skill through daily hard work and a personalized approach that meets them where they are.

Longer Enrollment at Method Leads to Greater Student Growth

One of the clearest insights from this year’s data: students who stay with Method longer show stronger academic growth.

According to CAASPP results:

  • Students enrolled for two or more years saw +5.3% more students meeting or exceeding standards in ELA.

  • Their Distance from Standard improved by 15.5 points, showing consistent academic progress over time.

This validates what we see every day. When students experience the continuity, relationships, and support of the Method community over multiple years, they make remarkable gains.

Every Student, Every Background

Method Schools serves a diverse student body. and our commitment to personalized, data-informed instruction is paying off for all learners.

  • Socioeconomically disadvantaged students improved by 17 points in ELA and 42 points in Math.

  • Students with disabilities showed double-digit gains in Math and continued growth in literacy.

These are not just statistics. They represent real progress for students who, with the right support, are discovering what they’re capable of.

Beyond State Tests: Local Assessments Tell the Same Story

Alongside CAASPP, our students take i-Ready and NWEA MAP assessments throughout the year. These tools help teachers monitor growth and personalize instruction in real time.

  • i-Ready Reading: Fewer students are below grade level — down 5.5% from last fall.

  • i-Ready Math: More students are meeting or approaching grade-level expectations.

  • NWEA MAP: Students showed strong gains in both Reading (+7.6% Close or Higher) and Math (+8.9%), with especially large jumps in high school reading growth.

Together, these results show that Method students aren’t just maintaining learning — they’re actually accelerating it.

What It Means for Our Families

Families choose Method for many reasons, including flexibility, safety, academic rigor, or the desire for a school that sees their child as an individual. This report shows that those choices are paying off.

Our personalized learning model, small class sizes, and data-informed instruction are helping students close gaps, move ahead, and build lasting confidence. Whether your child is in their first year with Method or their fifth, these results show that they’re on the right path.

Thank You to Our Students, Families, and Teachers
