I come from a family line of educators: both my parents, my brother, aunt, and uncle are all teachers in southern California. Even before teaching, I spent most of my youth on the soccer field. From AYSO as a youngster through three years of Varsity in high school (and Captain senior year), I am no stranger to leading teams to success. For the past six years, I have been a resident substitute teacher, requiring a "jack-of-all-trades" approach to both what and how I taught my lessons on any given day. I am highly adaptable, quick to learn, and holds the highest academic and behavioral expectations for students. I received my Bachelor's in History from UCR and is currently working on my MA in Education and credential in secondary History from the University of Phoenix.
